My Child~

The recent tornadoes in Oklahoma and Texas have caused much destruction and suffering.

The world I created was perfect, without natural disasters. But, sin has corrupted not only men (as can be seen in their behavior at times) but also this world, resulting in something I hate, suffering. Natural disasters are not “Acts of God” but are a result of a world gone wrong.

Some day, there will be a new heaven and a new earth and there will be no more disasters that claim lives and maim people.  (Revelation 21:1-7)

Until that time, you, My Dear Child, can extend help to those who are in need. You can reach out and share My love with the hurting. Give money, time, shelter, or a shoulder to cry on. Do something to show your love.  (Luke 10:25-37)

Love triumphs.  It always has, and it always will. (1 Corinthians 13:7-8) So, in this time of heartache, show some love. It will make a world of difference to the hurting.

Love

God has been challenging me to walk in love 24/7.  Every thought, motive, action and interaction with myself and others is to be love based. It’s disconcerting how often I slip out of love and into frustration, irritation or worry. God then reminds me that He is Love and He is always with me so it is possible for me to always walk in love. I challenge you to join me in a 24/7 love walk this month!

My Dear Child~

I hope that you know and understand that I love you so very much.  You are my special creation and I treasure you. (Psalm 139:13-18) Make sure you treasure yourself also. There is no one like you. No one with the same looks, abilities, voice, eyes or genetic make-up. You are special! Love and celebrate yourself! I do!

Do you know what I want from you?  I want you to love Me, love yourself and love others.  (Matthew 22:36-40) That’s all.  I don’t have a long list of “Dos” and “Don’ts” for you.  If you love Me, love yourself and love others, you are doing what I desire.

How can you show your love towards Me? Walk in love. (2 John 1:6)

What is love? Love is being patient when you’d rather show your irritation. Love is returning kindness when others hurt you. Love is being happy for others when they possess something you want. Love doesn’t boast about possessions or abilities, but is humble about one’s accomplishments. Love is not self-seeking; it seeks to help others. Love refrains from becoming angry quickly, but seeks to understand the situation. Love forgets the wrongs of others and focuses on the good instead. Love is never happy with evil but is joyful when the truth is proclaimed. Love always protects others, is willing to trust, and hopes for the best. Love will never, ever give up on anyone.  (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)

Are you loving others in that way? It is what I want you to do.  (1 John 3:18)  (John 13:34-35) It takes effort to walk in love on a daily basis, but it is worth it. You will bless others and find joy and blessings for yourself if you live a life of love.

And don’t forget…..I love you!

My Child~

With the start of 2013, I know that you are looking forward to new and better things for your life.  Do you know that I am also a fan of new and better things?

When you allow Christ to be your Savior then your old life has passed away. The wrong that you did is tossed aside.  All things are made new again!  (1 Corinthians 5:17)

Once you become a Christian and you “mess up”, don’t worry.  Just turn to Me and confess what you did.  I will make you clean once again.  (1 John 1:9) Your sin will be removed from you as far as the east is from the west. (Psalm 103:12)

Once I forgive your sins, My Child, I no longer remember them.  (Isaiah 43:25) So, may I suggest that you also forget the transgressions in your past?  If you keep bringing yesterday into today, it will be harder for you to move forward into the bright, new future I have for you. (Isaiah 43:18-19)

There is a brand new year in front of you.  Come, let’s go together.  I am happy to be your guide.  (Psalm 48:14)

I have been in awe this past week reflecting on the fact that the God of the universe chose to live among us.   What a humble, loving, amazing Savior and King we have!   I hope you all can internalize and embrace that God truly is with us.

Have a glorious, blessed Christmas Day!

God with Us

My dearest Child~

You wonder if I love you.  I most certainly do.   I love you so much that Jesus, My Son, came to live among you.  (John 1:1-5, 14)  (John 3:16)  He came to you in the most helpless, humble form of all, a baby.  He lived among you not as a king, but as a carpenter and teacher so you could approach Him without fear. He demonstrated love, mercy and tenderness and He taught you about Me.  He died a horrible death so you could be forgiven and always be in a relationship with Me.  (1 John 2:2)

When Jesus returned to heaven, He sent a Helper, the Holy Spirit, to live inside you.  (John 14:16-17)  The Holy Spirit is always available to help you.  You are never alone, My Child.  So when you are confused, frightened, or lonely just turn to Me.  I am as close as your next breath.  (1 Corinthians 3:16) You don’t have to struggle, worry, be anxious or depressed.  I am always available to love, guide and comfort you.

I am not some far off deity that is unconcerned about you.  You don’t have “to do” anything to get to Me.  You see, I’ve done it all.  I came to your earth to show you the right way to live.  I died in your place so you wouldn’t have to suffer or be separated from Me.  I will come and live inside you to comfort and guide you always, if you will let Me.

I am the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father and Prince of Peace who was born to you.  (Isaiah 9:6)

I am Immanuel.  I am God with you.  (Isaiah 7:14)  (Matthew 1:23)

Always remember that, My Child.  Always.

Merry Christmas.
