God has been challenging me to walk in love 24/7. Every thought, motive, action and interaction with myself and others is to be love based. It’s disconcerting how often I slip out of love and into frustration, irritation or worry. God then reminds me that He is Love and He is always with me so it is possible for me to always walk in love. I challenge you to join me in a 24/7 love walk this month!
My Dear Child~
I hope that you know and understand that I love you so very much. You are my special creation and I treasure you. (Psalm 139:13-18) Make sure you treasure yourself also. There is no one like you. No one with the same looks, abilities, voice, eyes or genetic make-up. You are special! Love and celebrate yourself! I do!
Do you know what I want from you? I want you to love Me, love yourself and love others. (Matthew 22:36-40) That’s all. I don’t have a long list of “Dos” and “Don’ts” for you. If you love Me, love yourself and love others, you are doing what I desire.
How can you show your love towards Me? Walk in love. (2 John 1:6)
What is love? Love is being patient when you’d rather show your irritation. Love is returning kindness when others hurt you. Love is being happy for others when they possess something you want. Love doesn’t boast about possessions or abilities, but is humble about one’s accomplishments. Love is not self-seeking; it seeks to help others. Love refrains from becoming angry quickly, but seeks to understand the situation. Love forgets the wrongs of others and focuses on the good instead. Love is never happy with evil but is joyful when the truth is proclaimed. Love always protects others, is willing to trust, and hopes for the best. Love will never, ever give up on anyone. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)
Are you loving others in that way? It is what I want you to do. (1 John 3:18) (John 13:34-35) It takes effort to walk in love on a daily basis, but it is worth it. You will bless others and find joy and blessings for yourself if you live a life of love.
